Living life on your own terms. To some, that means simply having a business that allows them to stay at home and be with their kids. To others, that business might allow them to interact with some of the biggest names in their industry. While yet others, like today's guest, use their business as a method to not only enable them to work remotely, but as the motor for them to travel around the world as a major part of their lifestyle. Arne Giske is what you'd call a digital nomad. Having been an entrepreneur most of his life, he's developed a business that allows him to not only be mobile, but engage with folks all over the world. During the time that he's done this, he's also developed a podcast and Facebook group under the brand "The Millennial Entrepreneur". In today's chat with Arne, we find him just finishing up spending some time in Columbia before heading off to Florida for this weekend's AdCon conference. Daniel and I get the chance to find out more about his lifestyle including why he chose to live his life this way, some Do's and Don'ts for growing a large Facebook group, and what business he currently finds himself in to power his way around the globe. Arne's a great guy to know if you're looking to travel while working, too! Thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

College can mean different experiences to different people. For me, I lived two lives. One, when I was an undergrad, where I was studying all the time and worrying about why I sucked so bad at taking tests and feeling like I had to plagiarize just to pass my classes. I never felt comfortable in my own skin, let alone think about doing anything extracurricular. And then, in grad school, things changed dramatically. I was suddenly forced into the front of the class - 6 times a week - and found myself in all kinds of clubs. This had a profound effect on my perspective of life and I finally started emerging from my shell. But that was just my take on college. Some people go into college knowing precisely what they want to do. They also have a mission to do it as well. Laila's story was like that as we've come to learn. So is today's guest, Sabah Ali. Sabah is simply crushing her college career. Not only is she double majoring (yeah, that's hard enough right there!) but she's finding time to do a ton of extracurriculars. Writing and publishing a bestselling book. Starting a podcast. And even going to various conferences with mentors and various connections. In this session's chat, we find out more about this path of hers. Where the inspiration for the book and podcast came from, and how she's successfully balancing everything. As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

Full show notes: newinceptions.com/82
In today's world, many would say that a lot of men have lost their masculinity. That's why guys like Neil Strauss, Jordan Harbinger, John Eldredge, and Brett McKay are as well known as they are. They specialize in helping men get better in their lives. However, they each do so in very different ways. Today's guest, Ryan Michler, is adding his name to that list with his organization, the Order of Men. I'm really thrilled to have him on as helping guys step into their own has a special meaning to me. In fact, it's one of the reasons I became a Mason. I wanted to join an organization that has been all about developing men as functional parts of their community. In this session with Ryan, we discuss a number of topics including what inspired him to start Order of Man, how he's built the group in such a short period of time, and what it might look like to be part of the organization. As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

Passion comes in all kinds of shapes, ideas, and movements. Whether that takes the form of being a coach, a TED presenter, or an artist, there's so many ways of expressing what you love to do. You simply have to figure out what that is. Sometimes figuring out what something is can be the hard part. Other times, it can be the easy part. Take for example, this session's guest, Andre Kane. After realizing he wasn't going to make a career in a rock band, he went back to school and ended up working in a radio station as an intern. A split decision made him choose that path. And to this day, he enjoys being on the radio with his partner in crime, Jack Hammer. In this session, I find out more about that split decision to get into radio, learn about some of the more memorable guests and moments they've had on the show, and we also talk a little radio geekery. As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

Podcast Discovery Center - A Safe Haven For Podcasters With Scott Doucet (AoL 080)

Show notes: newinceptions.com/80
Podcasting has been around for quite awhile - just not the form that we're all used to. However, it seems that only recently it's been catching on as a popular medium. I mean, for me, it's still hard to believe that 36% of all people 18 years old or older have listened to a podcast sometime in their life. I still find myself explaining what it is to most people who don't know what AoL is. But once I do describe it, they're blown away by it's potential and many even ask "how do I get started?". Currently I'm working on a solution for that question, but in the meantime, I often tell them to check out Facebook groups - especially the Podcast Discovery Center (PDC). As co-founder of the PDC, today's guest is dedicated in making the members of the PDC feel like they're part of the family. As you'll find out, Scott Doucet has had plenty of experience in other larger podcast groups, and what he and his co-founder Anthony found out is that many times those groups like to push an agenda. The only thing that the PDC wants to push is the success of your show. In this conversation, I ask him more about how he got started as a podcaster, more about that foundation of the group, and we also find out more about his own business and how he can help you if you're looking to create a podcast for your business. As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

Society teaches us to look for the negative in situations. Just about everything that is popular today has some sort of conflict. From TV shows, news, and movies - we're always looking at what is wrong with the world around us. (Heck, I'm pretty sure that's how Trump got the nomination and won the election - he used the negative for his benefit.) It's very uncommon for people to natively want to look for the good in situations. Mainly because we're not programmed to be like that. However, as our guest in this session, Barbara Ireland talks about in this session, having that perspective isn't very useful if you're trying to do more than just get by or simply survive. Just like Clay mentioned in session 78, you're truly wanting to have a great life, then you're going to have to stop looking for what's wrong in every situation. You need to stop thinking negative thoughts. In this conversation, Laila and I discover what Barbara learned about negative thoughts and breaking out of them... all thanks to the near death experience she had. As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

Make It Happen - 3 Habits To Real Success With Clay Green (AoL 078)
Thursday Mar 09, 2017
Thursday Mar 09, 2017
Notes: newinceptions.com/78
Many of us have heard many times the actual steps to being successful. In fact, I've wrote about many of these topics in blog posts here at New Inceptions. They include: Reading and/or learning from others who have what you want regularly. You should plan regularly to get what you want. Reflect as much as possible - Daily, weekly, Monthly, Yearly. Appreciate what you have because doing the opposite is what we're used to and it's a big reason why so many of us have negative attitudes. The list goes on. In today's episode, co-host of AoL and founder of EnthusiatiCLAY, Clay Green, shares with us his three top habits. These habits include much of what we need to do to achieve long term success. And we've heard people talk about them before. In this podcast, however, he takes it to the next level. He actually shares proof in why we should be doing these three things. I also ask him some in depth questions that lead to a great conversation as well. This is his silver edition, so if you want his background, you can find out more about him in session 46. As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show! Rest of the Show

Podcasts are one of the most used ways to get your message out there. Whether it's for fun, you're syndicating as a radio show, or you're using it to deliver content for your business, podcasts are gaining popularity all the time. For me, I've been listening to them since 2010 and producing them since 2013. However, today's guest, has a heck of a lot more experience in this world than I do. In fact, he's been around the media a good part of his life. In this chat with Chris (aka CJ Ripka on his podcast Raw and Real), I wanted to find out more about the medium itself. Where it came from, why it's called a podcast, ways people are being successful with it today, and some of the things he believes are in the not too distant future for the medium. As usual, I also find out how he got the wealth of knowledge he has. If you have similar interests and you love podcast tech, then hopefully it will shed some light on what your next steps might be! As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

Why Virtual Summits Are The New Webinar With Jaime Slutzky (AoL 076)
Thursday Feb 23, 2017
Thursday Feb 23, 2017
Show notes: newinceptions.com/76
As a creative, one of the biggest ways to get your name out on the web these days are through is through webinars. You show up, give your presentation on your topic, and then, if everything goes right, you'll soon see people signing up for your newsletter or, better yet, buying from you. However, in a world where there are those of us who haven't made a name for ourselves, or simply want to have a large event, a solo webinar might not be the best choice for you to promote your services or products. That's where virtual summits come in. Like a conference, a virtual summit is a collection of speakers discussing one topic. But unlike a conference, you can host it on the web like a webinar. Which is great! Virtually no overhead and no one has to travel to receive the information. In my chat with Jaime Slutzky, founder of Virtual Summits Tech, we discuss more about the topic of virtual summits, how she got into helping people with them, and some of the keys that will make your next one a success. As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

Pains and sores are something that many of us have to put up with. In our day to day work, we find ourselves doing repetitive tasks that lead to these chronic pains. Athletes are notorious for getting these sores. Artists as well. Many times, they, like us, learn to put up with those pains that we get over time. But that's not the way it has to be, according to today's guest. After being able to help a friend get through some pains received while practicing, Rinna Mai realized that she had a higher calling. She realized that she could do something that not many people could help others with. And the more she found people who wanted help, the more she sought after new knowledge. Today, Rinna finds herself going into medical school so that she can help people heal on all levels. Daniel and I talk with her to find out more about her journey, what advice she has for folks with migraines, and why in the world she would put herself through a college career in her late 20's. As always, thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!
